Our franchise journey with Banana Moon started with a meeting with Mark in September 2020, while we were still in the midst of Covid. After an amazing fit-out, this former care home was transformed into the state-of-the-art nursery we see today. By chance, the franchise had already secured a property with planning permission in exactly the location we wanted – almost like it was meant to be! So, in less than a year from that first meeting, we were up and running. We took on our first child in August 2021 and have been open for 19 months now, already achieving so many milestones…

I come from a Sales & Relationship management background. In 2016 I decided to look for a business venture, ideally a franchise, as I had not been self-employed before.

Eventually, I decided on the nursery sector. A choice was made between two main players – the right choice! Banana Moon were welcoming, supportive and efficient from day one of my contacting them, all the way through to helping me set up my brand-new nursery, which is currently thriving.

I first came in contact with Banana Moon in 2012, as I was looking for an investment opportunity and had read a few of the case studies.. I had no background in childcare but have a great passion for it. I strongly believed that, for a sector as sensitive and as regulated as childcare, franchising is the right way forward. My 9 years’ experience in the sector has only confirmed that belief beyond doubt.
