We’re delighted to welcome a brand-new franchisee to our network: Banana Moon Sunderland!
Located near the city centre – at Rowlandson Terrace, Hendon – the new nursery opened its doors this month and has wasted no time in becoming a key part of Sunderland’s thriving community. The word is spreading and places are filling quickly!
Banana Moon Sunderland will provide a caring and loving learning environment for children from three months old to school age. Nursery Director Aneesa Mukhtar has a background in education and aims to bring the same nurturing environment to a nursery setting. As a parent of two children who attended nursery from a young age, she’s passionate about seeing everything from the point of view of the parent and puts children’s needs first.
Over the summer, the Sunderland team have been busy making the newly converted nursery look nice and welcoming – filling it with lots of equipment and colour! It has bright, spacious and well-ventilated rooms with well-resourced and inviting childcare facilities. There are two secure outdoor areas and a sensory room, where skills and senses will flourish in a fun way. There’s also a designated dining room and on-site kitchen where the chef cooks fresh meals each day.
The photos below show our various spaces and the rooms that are tailored to different age groups. How amazing do they look?
Mark Bates, Founder and Managing Director, commented:
“We’re delighted to welcome Aneesa and the Sunderland team to the Banana Moon family. It’s always exciting to see a new Banana Moon nursery open its doors – supporting local families and also the local economy by recruiting from the area, providing training and the opportunity to build long-term careers in early years education.
“As a family business, it’s especially meaningful to us to bring our high-quality care and early education to families, and we’re excited to make a positive difference in the area.”
